What would you do working with us?
We are looking for a Backend Software Developer to join our team who is motivated to work on using technology to help solve the world's most pressing problem.
To succeed in this role, you need to be an entrepreneur. You are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done and openness for iterations and changes of course. You know that building a company means doing whatever works best for customers and partners and you are willing to roll up your sleeves to make this happen.
- Design client-side and server-side architecture.
- Collaborate with our development team to efficiently develop new features and fix ongoing issues.
- Analyze, model, and build responsive web applications.
- Write clean and maintainable code that is easy to understand and reuse.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Be able to autonomously work on all stages of software development; model, implementation, and delivery.
- Tackle new challenges and learn new technologies without being afraid to make mistakes along the way.
- Be proactive while developing and take responsibility for the projects you are working on.
What we would need from you to be successful in this role?
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python and NoSQL data models.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and patterns.
- Knowledge of git and git workflows.
- Experience with AWS services is a strong plus.
- Understanding of APIs and how they integrate with websites and applications.
- Familiarity with Scrum agile principles and methodologies.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer theory and algorithms.
- Previous experience in a tech startup is highly desirable.
- A strong motivation to positively impact the planet and change the way people think about energy production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of design principles and processes is a plus.
- +1y experience designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining web services leveraging AWS API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and other serverless technologies.
This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work completely remotely if you prefer. We have a beautiful office in downtown Barcelona, where you are welcome to work if that suits you.
