Job responsibilities:
- Properly mix paint colors
- Use specialty painting techniques on the vehicle
- Prepare, blend and finish vehicle surfaces
- Manage and control materials and inventory
- Remove dirt and debris from vehicles
- Perform sanding, buffing, polishing, or retouching vehicles to prepare vehicle surface
- Taping and covering vehicle parts efficiently and with extreme precision does not require painting
- Prepare vehicles for primer and paint application
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work on vehicles for extended periods of time
- Work alongside the paint prep team to assist in keeping the vehicle on schedule
- Inspect final prep and paint application
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with paint processes
- Ability to perform small repairs on vehicles such as dings, scratches, and minor repairs
- Experience with wet sand and buffing
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including walking, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods of time
- Able to use hand power tools
- Withstand exposure to fumes and dust
- Strong attention to detail
- Work in a fast-paced environment
