Assembly is looking for an Associate, SEO Content Strategist. The Associate, SEO Content Strategist works within our SEO team to support content and promotions strategies as they relate to the inner workings of the major search engines. The right candidate will have a blend of marketing experience and technical savvy. A solid understanding of the current SEO landscape is a must, as we’re looking for a strong addition to our team of experts. Experience with traditional PR and a content writing/editing background is also helpful. This position reports directly to the Senior Content Strategist.
Responsibilities:
- Receive content requests, including on-page optimization, blog posts, and longform content, from account teams
- Assign content assignments to copywriters, manage deadlines and workloads
- Operate as intermediary between account teams and copywriters
- Edit content for grammar, spelling, accuracy, and adherence to the requirements in the request
- Implement best-practice content recommendations for clients
- Perform keyword research
- Write or optimize on-page content, articles, and blogs suitable to a client’s needs, including title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, on-page text, etc.
- Stay informed of developments and provide industry thought leadership in the arena of SEO content, social media, and link building through blog posts and industry round-tables
Requirements:
- 1+ years of agency experience
- Strong copywriting, grammar and editing skills
- Degree in English, journalism, or communications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and deadlines
- Professional demeanor with a focus on client service and satisfaction
- Experience working in an editorial setting
- Understanding of writing for the internet and SEO
- Basic understanding of SEO
