We are seeking an Associate Creative Director well-versed in the world of modern experiential activations to join our team and serve as a leading voice and driver of the agency’s creative output. This role will work with the Brand Experiences (Experiential) team to transform insights into big ideas that manifest as a tangible consumer experience with digital and built elements.

The Associate Creative Director will lead and manage this unique ideation process, overseeing all creative output, and will work as both an active hands-on designer and a passionate leader of teams to deliver compelling content leveraging our sports, entertainment and talent relationships. This individual must be immersed in pop culture and niche cultural trends, with a deep knowledge of the latest technology and production techniques. 
  
This role will be responsible for managing all facets of the creative process from initial ideation, developing creative and design concepts, pitching internally and to clients, art direction, UX and production design. The Associate Creative Director may also be involved in design execution as a lead designer. Working closely with UEG Brand Experience leads, the ACD will provide thought leadership and operational excellence in developing breakthrough ideas that map against client briefs.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop fresh creative thinking that pushes the envelope while still fulfilling client briefs 
  • Work with client stakeholders, internal strategists and SMEs to identify creative territories for each project 
  • Clearly articulate the overarching creative concept and ensure this vision is carried through to execution of a project 
  • Oversee all creative aspects of a project from initial briefing through brainstorming and conceptualizing, experience design and environmental design, down to copy, graphic elements and mechanicals.   
  • Develop internal processes alongside our Brand Experience team for creative brainstorming and a seamless production flow.  

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience in developing creative concepts and experiential design at an agency or in-house with a focus on spatial design 
  • 2+ years experience collaborating with and delegating to junior staff  
  • Proven portfolio of exceptional creative activations and events that show out of the box big thinking with an eye for the details 
  • Refined eye for the details, with an ability to communicate this through spatial/3D design, reference imagery, and a detailed consumer journey 
  • Ability to effectively present ideas both verbally and visually   
  • A passion for learning about the latest trends in culture and brand experiences 
  • A roster of 3rd party design & production resources to help fulfill creative concepts 
  • Desire to work on many different types of projects, often several at once   
  • Ability to travel when needed, work primarily on-site from the UEG office, and successfully stay connected during local work hours when working remotely 
  • A high level of proficiency in hands-on design work 
  • Software skills in either 2D design and/or 3D Design

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Understanding of the production/fabrication process for built elements 

PAY RANGE: $68,000 - $112,000
 
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
