Overview

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Developer to join our dynamic team. The Apigee Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Apigee Edge-based solutions, which includes API proxies, policies, and custom code. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of API design principles and possess expertise in Apigee Edge.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge or similar API Gateway technologies such as Kong.
  • Implement security policies to protect APIs against malicious attacks.
  • Develop custom code using JavaScript, Java, or Python to extend Apigee Edge functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues related to API proxies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Apigee Edge features and contribute to the development of internal best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing API solutions using Apigee Edge.
  • Expertise in API design principles and RESTful web services.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Understanding of OAuth, JWT, and other authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Experience in developing API policies, such as security, rate limiting, caching, and transformation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
