What is the Job?
An Agile Coach will be focused on spreading the Agile way of working at a multi-team level and throughout the organization. As Agile Coach you might engage with teams on an individual basis, work with Scrum Masters and other internal ambassadors to identify and remove any obstacles hindering team productivity. On the organizational level Agile Coach is concerned with helping to change the overall structure of the company to facilitate the Agile principles. This task requires working with the senior leadership and helping them understand the benefits of Agile as well as the structure needed to make it sustainable within the organization.  This role has wide-ranging partnerships, working day-to-day with other leaders to improve the overall system. In addition to all the above, the Agile Coach is expected to proactively organize opportunities for colleagues to learn more about Agile, inside and outside the company. Design coaching and training programs, deliver on-demand training on specific topics such as user stories, backlog refinement, estimations, agile leadership etc. Help setup Guilds for cross-team skill development and knowledge sharing. Encourage and direct individuals to share relevant knowledge through appropriate activities. Coach leaders at all levels and develop coaching capability in others. Encourage a culture of continuous experimentation to further improve the Agile practices. Promote a learning culture, organizing workshops, discussions aimed to improve teams and individuals. Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices. Work with teams and executive teams to analyse current systems and processes and design a strategy for the adoption of agile best practices. Promote High performance team culture..

What will you do?

  • A deep understanding of the agile mindset, values and principles and the application of them in a variety of agile frameworks.
  • Familiar with Lean, product flow, scaling, culture, organization structure, agile management.
  • Familiar with the concepts of professional coaching, knows how to engages a person in a creative process to discover their own insights and take inspired action without being attached to a specific outcome
  • Applied knowledge about team dynamic and team development with a track record of helping a team maximize their collective intelligence to achieve the desired results.
  • Excellent facilitation skills - neutral guide that supports the group to achieve its purpose and desired results in a common way.
  • Application of behavioural sciences and change theory to lead sustainable team transformation.
  • Expertise and experience in service of fostering growth of others.
  • Capable of making decisions with available information and taking risks, showing integrity and accepting responsibility for one’s actions.
  •  Displays and promotes critical and innovative thinking, challenging the status quo.
  • Previous experience as a collaborative leader
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Active listening, empathy, consistency in decision making and behavior, positive motivation impact by leading by example, assertive communication.

What do you bring to the table?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in agile software development methodology
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in people and team development in agile environment
  • Emphasized leadership abilities – organization and communication skills, decision making, strong integrity, active listening
  • Facilitation, Coaching, Transformation Mastery - Proficient level
  • Training and Mentoring – Proficient level
  • Agile-Lean Practitioner – Expert level
  • Ability to create trustful and safe environment
  • Bachelors or Master of Computer Science or related field
