About the role
Maaike, our Chief Marketing Officer, is looking for an Affiliation Manager to join Scalapay as it grows. This role is based in Milan where we would love to see you often.

As an Affiliate Manager, you’ll have the chance to work on the growth of the freshly launched affiliate channel within Scalapay.
You’ll be responsible for managing relationships with existing affiliate partners, developing new ones and maximizing the results generated by the affiliate channel to meet company objectives through the implementation of concrete initiatives.
This role includes interactions with marketing, product, sales and strategy departments and reports to our Chief Marketing Officer. 

You will:
- Acquire and onboard new advertisers from our affiliation partners’ networks
- Maintain relationships with affiliation partners: you’ll be the primary contact and support for our affiliate partners, conducting presentations on new opportunities and negotiating deals 
- Evaluate and report on affiliate performance: own forecast for the affiliation revenue stream, determine which activities, advertisers and spaces are producing results to identify growth opportunities
- Manage commission payments and optimize affiliate partner management
- Negotiate contracts with potential new affiliate partners
- Scout best practices on how to optimize referrals per vertical to develop our multi-platform strategy
- Propose & test initiatives with marketing, product & strategy to ensure maximum returns from advertisers. This includes also exploring and building new opportunities with the product team for the best affiliate placements across our channels. 

You’ll be great for this role if:
- You have 3+ years of professional experience in the affiliate industry, equipped with a good knowledge of the affiliate and e-commerce landscape
- You are agile, able to adopt a quick and dirty approach to test initial best practices, adopt a rapid understanding of business needs and craft solutions
- You are able to articulate challenges with a problem-solving attitude
- You have a passion for forming professional relationships
- Negotiating skills
- You are result-driven & data oriented: a critical thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills, able to work independently
- You are a team player: this role requires a high level of interaction with other departments
- Experience with analytics and reporting is a plus

Recruitment Process:

3) An interview with a manager from the product team, so you can understand the ins and out of the affiliation program from a product standpoint
