About The Role

We are currently undergoing a large transition period with a lot of exciting changes ahead - this will not be your standard Accounts Payable role; every day will be different!

The ANZ Accounts Payable Specialist reports to ANZ Accounts Payable Team Lead and has responsibility for all Accounts Payable and Procurement Support deliverables for the New Zealand & Australia based Datacom group of companies.

What You'll Do

The ANZ Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for high volume invoice processing, query management & vendor reconciliations. Completing tasks to a high standard and within agreed timeframes. These responsibilities will include -

Processing

  • Matching invoices to PO’s
  • Invoice entry, coding, and approval for general expense invoices within agreed timeframes
  • Following up on queries
  • Managing assigned Mailbox for AP Queries
  • Resolving issues
  • Processing returns
  • Understanding the customer invoicing process

Vendor Reconciliations

  • Reconciling vendor statements Monthly
  • Clearing all reconciling items from reconciliation's

Financial Support

  • Other support to finance team as required
  • Any Adhoc duties as specified by ANZ Accounts Payable Team Lead or ANZ Transaction Services Manager

About you

We are looking for a fresh thinker who has 2+ years’ experience in a similar role and has a collaborative and team focused attitude. You will ideally possess the following skills and attributes -

  • A good understanding of the Accounts Payable end to end process and an understanding of wider finance function and the role of the Accounts Payable within Finance
  • Strong communication skills, ability to engage with all stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail for high volume transactions
  • Proficiency in MS Excel & Outlook

The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with high attention to detail, an Accounts Payable understanding, who is familiar with working with high volumes in a large team environment in corporate setting. Your communication skills will be key to this role, as well as your adaptable and easy-going nature. We're looking for quick learners and team players who are willing to help others!
