Responsible for managing and developing our business in Commercial, Educational and Government sectors’ within the UK and EMEA territories. Developing a portfolio and identifying and growing software/service sales and technical consulting projects.
Reports to: Director of Sales
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales and consistent growth in software, service and technical consulting projects in both new and existing customers
- Develop strategy for portfolio; research existing & potential clients to identify opportunities
- Contribute towards new sales initiatives
- Build & manage customer relationships in assigned territories, including regular customer visits
- Pro-active account planning and delivery across customer base to achieve set targets and produce continued account growth to new and existing customers
- Co-ordinate with marketing and technical teams to arrange customer demonstrations, training courses, roadshows and other events
- Update leads, opportunities and all other customer contacts within CRM software in a timely manner
- Training support staff and new employees on selling products and services, including software licensing, services, consulting, new products, promotions and sales policies
Skills and experience:
- Direct consultative sales experience, ideally in a technical setting – 2 years minimum preferred
- Demonstrable history of sales success and the ability to cross and up-sell
- Experience of selling within EMEA markets would be preferred
- Ability to thoroughly research existing and potential clients to identify opportunities and potential growth
- Target orientated and capable of working under pressure on own initiative, to tight deadlines often on multiple projects
- Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage, E.g. maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or related technical or quantitative field
- Availability to travel as required to visit customers or third parties
- Strong work ethic, ability to network, decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible and adaptable approach, open-minded and positive attitude with a good sense of humour
- A high level of numeracy and attention to detail will be required
- Good working knowledge of M/S Office, CRM systems and databases, and an aptitude to learn new systems
- Genuine interest in science and/or Mathematics
This role offers hybrid working 60:40, Office:Remote
In this role there is a basic salary up to £30K with approx. £47k OTE.
