Requirements

A vacancy has arisen for the Marketing Coordinator for Rentokil Initial South Africa and the purpose of this role is to promote the company's products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of external and internal communications channels.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Inbound Marketing
    • Ensure that the company’s brand voice is represented during the inbound strategy at all times.
    • Ensure that the quarterly content strategies are in line with company focus areas and innovation launches
    • Manage Ambius communication strategy including the blog and social media schedule
    • Be the main voice in inbound writing to ensure brand consistency. Key role in the writing of blogs as well as the proofing of content by other team members.
    • Develop and manage content for various mediums to support enquiry generation and sales enablement including landing pages and content offers.
    • Ensure that social media copy conveys our company message and brand
    • Ensure that Company’s Innovation goals and strategies are supported by Inbound strategy (this may include sitting in on the group Category meetings)
    • Email Marketing
      • Work with the Marketing Manager to produce themes and schedules for customer emails
      • Design and write emails to generate enquiries from prospects and current customers
    • Brand & Reputation Management
      • Communication of brand strategy across the company
      • Ensure compliance to brand specification through various forms of communication
      • Ensure compliance to brand specifications for vehicles, uniforms and promotional items
      • Liaise with complaints team to craft/ensure brand appropriate responses to complaints (HelloPeter, Facebook etc)
    • PR
      • Assist in developing PR strategy
      • Write and /proof of press releases
      • Strategic communication to various role players where required
      • Liaise with PR agencies and co-ordinate press interviews when required
    • Advertising
      • Assist in establishing key publications and developing relationships to maximize exposure
      • Develop ad material for publication in line with brand guidelines
      • Liaise with publications and build relationship with editors
    • Sales Materials
      • Design, creation and distribution of printed and electronic sales materials including brochures, playbooks, flyers and direct marketing pieces.
      • Work with Technical and Capability leads to enhance Route 1 training modules to further support sales community learning
    • Events
      • Work with Marketing Manager and divisions to successfully participate in and design events including trade shows, conferences, webinars and expos
      • Annual Sales Conference: work with the Marketing Manager to successfully run the logistics element of the annual sales and Marketing conference: hotel and flight bookings, guest lists, room allocations, decor, av, etc
    • Internal communications
      • Work with MM to copy check and distribute internal comms via Speed when required
      • Additional duties:
    • Work with the Marketing Manager to support internal communication via Speed
    • Supplier management: act as marketing liaison between key suppliers (PR firm, on-retainer designer)
    • Developing and executing a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting local priorities
    • Creating and managing all marketing materials and collateral in line with brand direction
    • Implementing online marketing activities including Inbound Marketing, Email Marketing (outbound) social media, demand generation, lead generation
    • Tracking effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as required
    • Managing communications spend and working with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assets
    • Leading the planning and implementation of PR and initiatives related to the brand
    • Brand & Reputation Management

    • Sales Materials
    • Developing an event strategy and roadmap to execute events that boost business development and customer relationship building
    • Internal Comms
    • Deliver Sales training to Contact center/ Sales teams
    • Write editorial for online or printed publications
    • Sales Consultant/ sales managers/ CRCs(any one in the sales community) inductions
    • Producing Sales Collateral
    • Brand Building Knowledge
    • Highly developed communication skills (written / verbal / non-verbal)
    • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with an ability to educate and inspire trust in key stakeholders
    • Ability to research information and turn complex ideas into understandable copy
    • Ability to interpret data in order to report accurately and give the marketing team direction

Do you have what it takes? If you want to be considered for this role you will need:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Degree / Diploma Journalism/Marketing
  • 3 years or more of relevant Marketing related experience
  • Writing and communication across channels experience
  • Unendorsed Valid driver’s license
  • Relevant Copywriting or English Language Qualification
  • Track record of seeing multiple projects through from conception to completion, following processes and keeping to tight deadlines
  • Previous PR Experience
